Haleakala

While we were in Maui last week, we booked a trip with Maui Bombers to bike ride down the Haleakala volcano. Basically, they drive you in a van up to the crater (peak), which is at a 6,700-foot elevation. They give you some basic instruction and then you coast (sometimes rapidly) down the Haleakala highway for about 30 miles until you reach the ocean. It was a lot of fun.
